ISTELive 24 Update – January


Hello friends!

I am writing to give you a few exciting updates about ISTELive24 which is taking place in Denver, CO this year from June 23-26th, 2024. Registration is now open! I will presenting two interactive sessions that you will not want to miss! Details on these sessions are below, as well as some pre-conference resources you will want to check out if you are attending. If you are an EdTech guru, or someone just looking to amp up their EdTech skills and incorporate technology into your classroom in meaningful ways, then join me in Denver for the EdTech event of the year!

Conference Sessions

I am excited to release the details and descriptions for each of my sessions. Learn more below.

Session 1 – Poe and Pendulums–an Interdisciplinary and Collaborative Approach to Problem-Based Learning 

When: Monday, June 24th, 2024

Time: 12-1PM

Description: The session gathers the implementation of PBL to promote interdisciplinary learning in a 6-12 online school classroom. Using The Pit and The Pendulum, experienced teachers will share the instructional design and successes of application, demonstrating how interdisciplinary learning between English and Science is enhanced through PBL assessments.


Session 2 – Decoding the DNA of a Thriving Virtual Lesson

When: Wednesday, June 26th, 2024

Time: 10:30-11:30AM

Description: This session explores engaging virtual lessons for grades 6-12. Experienced Dwight Global teachers showcase live lesson structures, emphasizing active student involvement through opening activities, smooth transitions, participation opportunities, collaboration, and effective formative assessments, fostering self-reflection.
